Prior to joining Aquila, Edwin did several interim assignments. He was responsible for selling Xansa Continental Europe and for integrating the operations. He also served at India based HCL Technologies where he played a crucial role in expanding the European footprint. Prior to that he served at EDS as Vice President, Global Financial Industry Group in Dallas, New York and Europe. He spent the first five years of his career at Inter Access, where he got the opportunity to grow to division manager and was the founder of Syfact, a leading global provider of investigative case management solutions. Edwin started his career as an analyst at the Dutch Military Intelligence Services.

Based on his extensive experience he chose to educate himself into Strategic Procurement Management: a field of interest that is linked into the three key business issues of a company being strategic marketing and sales, capital efficiency and operational excellence. He was successful in following his own Executive Master of Business Administration in Procurement Management and combining his business experience in this relatively new field of interest. Edwin will receive his MBA In Strategic Procurement Management diploma in December 2008. A Master of Arts and Master of Science diploma is included in this MBA degree program.  

Based on his education program Edwin was invited to become an Associated Professor at Nyenrode Business University for the Managing Global Resources Seminar in his own EMBA Program. He is successful in presenting global experience in business as entrepreneur and manager.  

Edwin is the founder of a Foundation supporting the people in Chiang Mai, Thailand (www.mevrouwpon.nl).
